About the Company
At Machenta, we’re building intelligence that lets any robot learn any new skill as quickly as a human can: instantly, from a single example. We believe that achieving human-level adaptability in the physical world is a key milestone in the future of physical AI, and we’re already seeing glimpses of that future today. As a team, we’re united by this shared vision, and we work closely together in person to bring it to life. On the back of our $40m seed round, we’re now moving into a new office and lab space in the heart of King’s Cross, London. But we’re still right at the beginning here, and we’re looking for the right people to join us all for what lies ahead next. Robotics and machine learning span a diverse technical stack, and wherever you sit within it, everyone at Machenta takes ownership of their part of the company. If that kind of ownership resonates with you, and you’re excited about building together with an ambitious, closely-knit team, then we’d love to speak with you.
About the Role
You’ll be the first person we hire to build our Machenta community. You’ll showcase what makes our technology truly remarkable to the robotics community, and get them using it; we aim to be the go-to model for ‘vibe-coding’ in robotics. Working closely with our world-renowned founders, you'll own our community approach fully, from strategy to execution, and the relationships that come with it. This is a hands-on role where you'll learn our technology inside out, and act as an external ambassador to showcase what can be done in this new era of robot learning we’re creating.
In This Role You Will:
Develop and deliver a strategy to bring robotics enthusiasts and hobbyists into our community, and get them experimenting with our model and sharing what they create.
Organise and run a regular cadence of events, including hackathons, meet-ups and workshops. From concept, hype, and guest list curation, through to execution, filming, and social release.
Expand our social presence by creating tutorials, engaging content, and example projects that show what's possible with our technology, and get developers building fast.
Build a thriving developer community around our model, by owning our relationships across the startup, hobbyist, and research communities.
Represent us at AI and robotics conferences, through on-site promotional activities and social events.
Partner closely with our team for a tight feedback loop into the product.
What We Hope You’ll Bring:
Experience shaping a strategy to establish or grow a community.
Hands-on experience delivering community, DevRel, or growth activities, and turning that strategy into sustained engagement.
Genuine enthusiasm for AI and robotics. You don't need to be a robotics ‘expert’ like the rest of the team, but you need to be passionate about learning the space well enough to talk about it with confidence.
An energetic and creative character, comfortable being the outward-facing voice of the company.
Strong technical communication skills, adept at translating complex technology into something developers can easily engage with.
Join Us
We’re setting out to change how robots learn, and we know it’s an ambitious goal. If you’re excited by the idea of robots picking up new skills the moment they’re shown, and want to help build that future from the ground up, we’d love to hear from you. This role is based in person at our office in London.
